The company 4row GmbH was founded in March 2010 in Richterswil (Switzerland).

Our slogan is:
Together we move the rowing sport

Everything the rower need to row, ordered from a supplier conveniently on the Internet.

As an active rower or coach, we were constantly confronted with the situation that we had to organize all the material, such as new rails, rolls, etc., from different suppliers. This was sometimes complicated. Various calls to suppliers and manufacturers were needed until everything had been collected. Our own consumer behavior and the fact that there was no online store in Switzerland, motivated us to create this online shop for all rowers in Switzerland.

Since we received requests from Germany again and again, we decided in 2016 to create a new online shop, which should appeal to customers from Germany and other countries in the EU, but due to the fast growing order volume, we had to open a new storage in Berlin. For this reason we founded the 4row GmbH & Co. KG in Berlin in 2017. Since May 2017, we now have our additional warehouse at Müggelseedamm in Berlin.

Milestones

Autumn 2012
The 4row takes over the dispatch processing of the rowtex GmbH. Specialist for rowing clothes and Regatta Sport dealer in Switzerland.

Summer 2013
4row buys rowtex GmbH and moves its headquarters to Richterswil.

March 2016
4row buys the insolvent BBG Bootsbau GmbH and continues to operate it under the name BBG Bootsmanufaktur Berlin GmbH.

September 2016
Launch of our online shop for Germany.

May 2017
Foundation of an own company (4row GmbH & Co. KG) for the German market. Opening of an own location in Berlin. 

February 2018
Expansion of the delivery area. Almost all EU countries are supplied from now on. 

August 2018
Launch of our English online shops for the EU market.
